
This Monday, July 9, Kelly Carnes and Anita Balachandra will join manufacturing stakeholders and thought leaders from across the region to share perspectives on strengthening the U.S. innovation infrastructure.
Cuyahoga Community College, in Warrensville Heights, Ohio will host this regional workshop as part of a series providing representatives from industry, academia, and government an opportunity to share perspectives, pose questions, and propose ideas to design the proposed National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI).
This Designing for Impact workshop will acquaint U.S. manufacturing stakeholders with the principles and concepts motivating this public-private national initiative, as proposed in the President’s budget for Fiscal Year 2013.
The federal interagency Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office (AMNPO), in cooperation with stakeholders and local organizations, organized this workshop series. AMNPO partner agencies include the Department of Commerce and its National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Department of Defense, Department of Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and National Science Foundation.
