100 Women Leaders in STEM

STEMconnector presented its inaugural publication 100 Women Leaders in STEM at two separate events Tuesday evening. 100 Women Leaders in STEM highlights stories of women, their careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and the active role they play in mentoring the next generation of women STEM leaders.  Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, an honoree herself, spoke to an enthusiastic gathering of STEM supporters thanking the women present for their commitment to acting as role models and supporters of young women who represent the workforce of tomorrow.

As the Honorable Lisa Jackson EPA Administrator so aptly stated,  “ I think it’s important to show young people – women and men – that STEM careers aren’t just sitting in a room doing differential calculus. They will have opportunities to make a real difference in the world, and change people’s lives for the better”.
