Shannon J. Sheahan
Government Affairs Advisor
Shannon Sheahan has served as Government Affairs Advisor for TechVision21 since July of 2004. Ms. Sheahan’s primary areas of focus include healthcare, homeland security and federal appropriations. Her successes include securing several multi-million dollar appropriations for a variety of clients. Shannon’s other responsibilities include personal lobbying of congressional contacts, serving as a liaison between clients and industry coalitions, and writing issue briefings on up-to-date legislative and regulatory actions. In addition, Shannon is responsible for identifying the key players who help TechVision 21’s client base achieve their goals in the federal and state arenas.
Prior to entering the private sector, Shannon worked for Governor Tom Ridge (R-PA) as Associate Director of his Washington, DC office. There she was successful in lobbying on behalf of the Commonwealth for issues relating to health and welfare. While working for the Commonwealth, Shannon lobbied the state’s congressional delegation to include an amendment which ultimately helped save the state Medicaid’s program from losing close to a billion dollars.
She also served as Legislative Assistant for the Honorable William H. Zeliff (R-NH 1990-1996) for over two years. Shannon has also been involved in political races in Connecticut, New Hampshire and South Carolina including, U.S. House, U.S. Senate and Presidential elections.
Shannon currently resides in Haymarket, Virginia with her husband Brian and three children, Jack, Patrick and daughter Bridie. She is an active member with the Prince William County Republicans. In 1994, Mrs. Sheahan graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
